Specially fortype guests there are some alternative places for example Ananda or the Sanctuary, both offering to their guests and massages. It is rare the way quitness and party can mix so perfect here. On one side, you can participate in the crowded parties attracting young people with a wide range of different music, fire works and a relaxed atmosphere. There are loads of ways to get around the island, you can take one of the local cab for a small amount of money,or you are experienced enough you can hire a bicycle or chopper and do it in your own adgenda. There are roads to HaadRin, but you have been warned that the concrete roads are not in the greatest condition and unless you are a competitant motorbike driver then don't attempt to get to HadRin, as most accidents involving scooters happen in this area. Our advice is to leave your motorcylce at the seven eleven at BaanTai and pay about 50 Baht for a pick up over the mountains to Had Rin.
